Some weeks we have less time for creativity. I intended to work on some new painting creations but sometimes intentions don’t turn into actions. Even though I didn’t paint or work on challenging my photography skills I did look back and realize I was able to stop and enjoy a few nature moments from my car. When I looked back at the pictures they did not seem to be as beautiful as I remember. So when I had a quiet moment I took it to Adobe Lightroom and gave them a little more life. Lightroom has presets you can start with and then tweak to bring the photo to life.
The first one I took was when I was on a back country road. Those who know me absolutely know I am not a fan of the cold. I enjoy a sunny snowy day on the snowmobile but the majority of the time where we are is bitter, grey and blah. Though on a rare moment the snow on the trees can be beautiful. When I drove down this road the way the trees lined the edges of the road made me feel like I was going on a journey and it didn’t matter where it was taking me. I uploaded my before edits and after edits. I was able to really brighten this up. What do you think? Any suggestions? Maybe to blue?

This next photo was driving into the sunset. The sun was so large and bright I had to pull over. Once again, the photo I took was nothing like the view I saw. The sun was the perfect circle and covered the road ahead of me. I thought I will bring it to Lightroom and see what I could do. I was not able to create the spectacular sun I saw but I think my slight edits made it better.

What I pulled from this week is that you can still be creative, even as life try’s to swoop in and consume you. It is important to be aware of the moments!
Here are my highlights!
What I learned this week – I learned how to export from Adobe Lightroom with a watermark or logo. I created this little watermark in Canva and it was easily imported into Lightroom! Once imported it will be available anytime you do a custom export. Love it!
How I was creative this week – I snapped and edited pictures. I have some more I edited from previous weeks and will post below.
Quote of the week – “Never look back unless you are planning to go that way.” Henry David Thoreau I think this is great advice. If you look back you will not move forward. I believe we should learn, grow and continue to be present today and look to the future.
What I listened to this week – Still listening to the Goal Digger Podcast. I am scrolling and enjoying some of her older ones along with the new. The old episode, episode 361 What is tapping? This technique reduces anxiety and stress. Neat stuff!
App/s I have explored – InShot this is a video, picture app. I thought I would test some other options to WordSwag and this also has video options. So far I like what it does, it quickly can trim video, add text and change output size. It is not as easy as WordSwag for quotes but it works nicely for a quick reel or TikTok. I used WordSwag for the quotes below with my photos.
